RedHawks Sign Harvey, Reynolds & Duffy

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have signed three players as the club continues to shape the roster for the 2015 season. Signed to contracts are RHP Seth Harvey, INF Mikey Reynolds and 1B/OF Chris Duffy.

Harvey, 27, joins the RedHawks after spending the past five seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers organization. Harvey appeared in only 16 games at two levels in 2014 after rehabbing from Tommy John surgery that sidelined him midway through the 2013 season. He started in the Arizona League (Rookie) and was 0-0 with a 7.84 ERA before being promoted to Wisconsin of the Midwest League (A). With the Timber Rattlers, Harvey was 0-1 with a 3.71 ERA. He allowed just eight hits in 14.0 innings while striking out 19 batters.

Harvey joined the Brewers after being selected in the 37th round of the 2010 draft out of Washington State University. In his career, he is 10-4 with a 3.31 ERA and 30 saves in 102 games pitched. Harvey has recorded 179 strikeouts and allowed 129 hits and just four home runs in 144.0 career innings.

Reynolds, 24, spent the past two seasons in the Atlanta Braves organization and appeared in 18 games last season with the Rome (Ga.) Braves of the South Atlantic League (A). He batted .188 with two doubles, one triple, three RBIs and nine runs scored. In his first season of professional baseball, Reynolds batted .309 with four doubles, three triples, two home runs, 16 RBIs and 21 runs scored in 44 games with the Danville (Va.) Braves of the Appalachian League (Rookie).

Reynolds was selected by the Braves in the fifth round of the 2013 draft out of Texas A&M University. He was a second-team All-Southeastern Conference pick as a senior after batting .342 with 15 doubles, 25 RBIs, 43 runs scored and 19 stolen bases as a senior.

Duffy, who was acquired by the RedHawks from the Ottawa Champions of the Can-Am League earlier in the week, has officially signed with the club. He spent last season with the Sioux Falls Canaries and was traded to Ottawa during the off-season. In 2014, he batted .242 with 26 doubles, 15 home runs, 52 RBIs and 50 runs scored in 99 games for Sioux Falls.

Duffy was taken by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 26th round of the 2010 draft out of the University of Central Florida. He spent three seasons in the Phillies organization before signing with the New Jersey Jackals of the Can-Am League in 2013.
