RedHawks Jump on Fish Early, Beat Goldeyes 6-3

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks make the most of 7 hits in 6-3 victory over the Winnipeg Goldeyes

Both the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (24-21) and the Winnipeg Goldeyes (26-19) put runners aboard on Thursday, but it was the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-3 win at Shaw Park.  The RedHawks have won six straight games over the Goldeyes; and pull themselves within two games of AA North leading Winnipeg. 

Zach Penprase continued to swing a hot bat for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Penprase went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fifth inning.

Chris Roberson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Winnipeg Goldeyes. He singled in the seventh inning and doubled in the ninth inning.


Paul Burnside improved to 5-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered eight hits.

Tony Butler, who started the season with the RedHawks, was the game's losing pitcher (1-1). He allowed six runs in five innings, walked five and struck out one.
