Sioux City, IA- The Sioux City Explorers put up seven big runs on the night, but would fall to Fargo-Moorhead with a 10-7 score at Mercy Field at Lewis and Clark.
Sioux City and Fargo-Moorhead each put up big numbers Thursday night, with the RedHawks winding up with the 10-7 victory over the Explorers at Mercy Field at Lewis and Clark Park.
Fargo-Moorhead’s ten runs came off twelve hits and an error, while Sioux City scored their seven on nine hits and one error.
RedHawks starter Will Solomon (5-3) received the victory, allowing five runs in six innings pitched. Fargo-Moorhead’s closer Colton Reavis (s-8) got the save, pitching a scoreless ninth inning.
Explorers right-hander Ryan Zimmerman (3-9) was charged with the loss, giving up nine runs in only four innings pitched.
