WILLMAR, MN – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks opened the 2017 exhibition schedule with a 11-2 trouncing of the St. Paul Saints at on Sunday afternoon at Bill Taunton Stadium in Willmar, MN.
The RedHawks scored four runs off Saints starter Mark Hamburger in the second inning and never looked back. Fargo-Moorhead starter Tyler Alexander threw three scoreless innings, while reliever Michael O’Neal picked up the win. The RedHawks got solo home runs from Jesus Posso and Josh Mazzola.
The Saints and Redhawks will face off at Newman Outdoor Field for a pair of game on Monday and Tuesday. Game time on Monday is 6:00 p.m., and first pitch on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.
