FRANKLIN, Wis. — Jose Sermo broke the RedHawks single-season RBI record and Fargo-Moorhead clinched a playoff berth for the seventh straight full season with a 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Milkmen Friday night at Franklin Field.

Sermo launched a three-run home run — his 33rd of the year — in the third inning to claim RBIs No. 102, 103 and 104 and break Darryl Motley’s 1996 team record of 103 RBIs in a season.

With the win, the RedHawks clinched a playoff berth for the seventh straight full 100-game AAPB season.

Playoff matchups and locations are yet to be determined.
